Chapter 89
Beast Spirits and new enemies
"No way. Me not afraid of that." Grumblemon told C.P. causing the blond to glare at him. "Well, you should be. 'Cause it's very powerful." C.P. angerly told Grumblemon. "Only powerful if you can control and I'm betting that you not learn yet or why you look so afraid." Grumblemon told C.P. causing the blond to back up nervously.
"See, you tell me all I need know." Grumblemon told C.P. before he knealed down, pulled his hammer out of the ground and then attacked the blond and Tommy with it causing C.P. to push Tommy over to a tree.
"Hurry." C.P. worringly told Tommy as he helped the little boy climb the tree before he took out his D-Tector.
"Exacute, Slide Evolution!" yelled Grumblemon as he digivolved into Gigasmon as energy appeared around C.P.'s hand.
"Exacute, Spirit Evolution!" yelled C.P. as he swiped the energy with his D-Tector before he digivolved into Agunimon.
"Rah! Agunimon!" Agunimon yelled before he growled as he put his fists together.
+With Bokomon and the others+
"Hasn't the forest had enough fire for today?" Bokomon nervously asked the group as they watched Agunimon glare at Gigasmon.
+With Agunimon and Gigasmon+
"Right." Agunimon told Bokomon before he charged at Gigasmon causing the large digimon to grab him, hit him on his head and then knock the pyro digimon away from himself.
"Quagmire Twister!" yelled Gigasmon as he turned into a tornado and then spun into Agunimon causing the pyro digimon to yell as he flew high into the air while Gigasmon spun over to the group.
+With Kayla and the others+
"C.P.!" Kayla yelled in fright before Gigasmon grabbed her just as Agunimon landed onto the ground just as Gigasmon climbed up a nearby tree.
"Gigasmon, put her down." Agunimon growled at the large digimon. "If you want her, you have to take her." Gigasmon laughed at Agunimon before he climbed higher up the tree.
"But.." Agunimon began to nervously tell himself before Koji interupted him.
"Don't worry. We're fine now, I mean we're kinda stuck here." Koji told C.P. causing the blond to look worringly at his friends. "Okay." Agunimon told his friends before he lept into a high tree branch and then lept up to the top of the tree.

However as soon as he reached the top of the tree, Gigasmon's voice filled the air.
"We play hide and seek, you really need seek, you know." Gigasmon told Agunimon as he popped his head up from under a nearby tree top and then dived under the trees once more causing Agunimon to dive in after him.
+Under the trees+
After sliding down from the tree top, Agunimon lept onto another tree's branch as he looked around for Gigasmon until the large digimon lept over to him and then kicked the pyro into the tree causing Agunimon to scream in pain before Gigasmon grabbed a nearby tree vine and then began to kick Agunimon down the tree as he began to chuckle evily while Kayla looked worringly at her best friend as Gigasmon swung through the trees.
"Kayla!" Agunimon yelled in fright as lept from tree branch to tree branch until he grabbed a vine and began to swing after Gigasmon.
"Not bad. 'Course, not good either." Gigasmon told Agunimon as he swung through the trees.
'When I get my hands on you.' Agunimon thought to himself as he glared at the large digimon until Gigasmon landed on a tree branch and then hit Agunimon with his forearm causing Agunimon to lose his grip on the vine.
"NO!" Kayla screamed in fright as her best friend fell onto a tree branch causing it to break in half as Agunimon yelled in fright as he fell through the air.
"C.P.!" Kayla yelled in fright as Agunimon fell toward the ground.
"Yeah, you tough guy." Gigasmon mocked Agunimon before he laughed at the pyro digimon while Agunimon's screams filled the air.

"THIS IS GONNA HURT!" Agunimon yelled in fright as he landed head first onto the ground by the mud hole.
"Oh no." Gao gasped in fright.
"Oh my." Neemon told his friends in shock as the others looked worringly at Agunimon.
"I was right." Agunimon groaned before he turned back into C.P.
"C.P.!" Koji, JP, Gao, Neemon, Bokomon and Gomamon gasped in fright.
"Are you okay?" JP worringly asked his friend as C.P. groaned once more. "Yeah, but Kayla's still in trouble. And I don't know how to save her." C.P. worringly told his friends.
"Looks like the human spirit just can't compete with the beast spirit!" Koji yelled at the blond. "You have to turn into BurningGreymon." JP then yelled at the blond as C.P. began to get up. "But I can't. What if I lose control again." C.P. worringly told his friend as he stood up.
"Don't be afraid. Just remember what you promised Kayla. You promised her that you would never hurt her like those boys hurt her. Remember what Kayla told you." Gao told C.P. causing the blond to remember how Kayla helped him when he was trapped as BurningGreymon.
+Flashback, with Kayla and BurningGreymon, a while ago+
"You promised me that you would never hurt me like those boys hurt me. Please, continue to keep your promise." Kayla tearfully begged the large pyro digimon. "I know you're not going to hurt me. You're my best friend and I am yours. No matter what, I will always be your best friend." Kayla tearfully told her best friend as a tear fell from her brown eyes and then landed on BurningGreymon's right eyes causing the visons he was seeing to disappear.
'Wait! Kayla!' BurningGreymon mentally told himself in shock as his eyes turned back to their normal blue color.
+With C.P., Gao, Gabumon, Neemon, Bokomon, Koji, and JP+
"Remember who your friends are and you'll be fine." Gabumon told his human partner just as Gigasmon's voice filled the air.
"What? Not want to help friend?" Gigasmon asked C.P. as he lowed a tied up Kayla down from one of the trees.
"Kayla!" C.P. yelled at his best friend as he ran over to the trees just as Gigasmon laughed evily. "Play time over. Now give me spirit. You hurry, maybe you save her." Gigasmon told C.P. causing the blond to glare at the large digimon.
"No! Don't do it, C.P.! Don't trade your spirit for me! It's okay, I'm not afraid! You know I've been in more dangerous situations then this!" Kayla yelled at her best friend before Gigasmon pulled her back into the tree tops.
"No!" C.P. yelled at Gigasmon knowing that Kayla was right.
