Chapter 11

"Bye." Kencules quietly told Lita as he looked at her with love in his eyes as Carter got mad.

"She's... something. Isn't she, Carter?" an in love Kencules asked his trainer causing Carter to growl. "Yeah. Oh, yeah. She's really something." Carter agreed with Kecnules as he folded his hands.

"A real pain in the patella!" Carter then yelled angerly at Kencules who wasn't paying any attention to him. "Earth to Ken! Come in, Ken! Come in, Ken!" Carter then yelled at the demigod as he climbed onto one of the demigod's shoulders and then began to knock on Kencules's head. "We got a job to do, remember?" Carter then asked the demigod causing Kencules to pay attention to his trainer as Carter whistled loudly causing Guilmon to fly out of the tree, fly under them and then fly into the sky.

"Viridian is still waitin'." Carter then told the love struck demigod as Guilmon flew into the sky. "Yeah. Yeah. I know." Kencules told his trainer not knowing that Lita was watching them as she stood by a tree on top of a low hill.

+With Lita+

Lita smiled as she watched Guilmon fly away and then looked down sadly as she walked away from the tree and into a nearby dark forest where she then gasped in shock as she looked down and saw a cute bunny and a gopher standing in the middle of the forest.

"Aw...how cute." Lita cooed at the little creatures. "A couple of rodents looking for a theme park." Lita then told the creatues causing the bunny to glare at her.

"Who you callin' a rodent, sister?" the bunny angerly asked Lita. "I'm a bunny!" the bunny then angerly told Lita as she showed the young woman her tail. "A-And I'm her gopher." the gopher then told Lita before they transformed into Emerald and Tellu.

"Ta-dah!" Emerald and Tellu then happily told Lita causing the brunette to sigh. "I thought I smelled a rat." Lita told the minons before smoke filled the air and then touched her chin causing the brunette to turn her head and see the smoke coming from Morgan's right arm.

"Lita?" Morgan softly asked Lita as he leaned against a nearby tree. "Speak of the devil." Lita emotionlessly told the lord of the dead. "Lita, my little flower, my little bird, my little Makoto." Morgan sweetly told Lita as he used the smoke to bring her over to him. "What exactly happened here? I thought you were gonna persuade the river gaurdian Wallow to join my team for the uprising and here I am, king of river gaurdian-less." Morgan asked and then told Lita as he created a little game board out of thin air and then showed it to Lita.

"I gave it my best shot, but he made me an offer I had to refuse." Lita told Morgan as she flicked the mini Wallow statue off of Morgan's game board.

"Fine. So, instead of subtracting two years from your sentence, hey, I'm gonna add two on, okay? Give that your best shot." Morgan angerly told Lita as he made the game board disappear as the brunette walked away from him.

"It wasn't my fault. It was that wonderboy, Kencules." Lita angerly told Morgan as she walked over to a large tree and then crossed her arms over her chest as Morgan looked at her in shock.

+With the imps+

"Kencules? Why does that name ring a bell?" a nervous Tellu nervously asked her friend as she began to pace. "I don't know. Um, maybe we owe him money?" Emerald answered and then asked her friend as Morgan began to get even madder.

+With Morgan and Lita+

"What was that name again?" Morgan angerly asked Lita after he walked over to her and then put his hand on the tree over her head after the brunette leaned against the tree. "Kencules." Lita told Morgan causing the lord of the dead's hair to turn into fire as he turned red with anger.

"He comes on with this big, innocent farm boy routine, but I could see through that in a Peloponnesian minute." Lita began to tell a furious Morgan as she snapped the fingers on her right hand as a furious Morgan glared at the imps.

+With the imps+

"Wait a minute. Wasn't Kencules the name of that kid we were supposed to--" Emerald began to ask her friend before they realized who exactly Lita saw in the forest.

"Oh, my gods! Run for it!" the two imps yelled in fright as they tried to run from the furious Morgan causing the lord of the dead to extend his arms and grab them by their tails.

"So you took care of him, huh? Dead as a door nail. Weren't those your exact words?" a furious Morgan asked the imps as he dragged them over to him and then began to strangle the two women.

"This might be a different Kencules." a scared Emerald tried to reason with Morgan. "Yeah! I mean, Kencules is a very popular name nowadays!" a scared Tellu tried to tell Morgan before he strangled her even harder. "Remember, like, a few years ago, every other boy was named Kenta, and the girls were all named Rika?" a scared Emerald asked Morgan.

"I'm about to rearrange the cosmos, and the one brat who can louse it up...is waltzing around in the woods!" Morgan calmly told and then angerly yelled the imps as he threw them onto the ground causing the imps to transform into bugs as Morgan used his powers to burn down the trees around them.

"Wait. Wait, big guy. We can still cut in on his waltzing." a nervous Emerald told a panting Morgan as she turned back in her imp form. "That's right! And-and-and at least we made him mortal. That's a good thing." a nervous Tellu agreed with her friend. "Didn't we?" a nervous Tellu then asked her boss and her friend as Emerald nodded.

Hmm. Forunately for the three of you...we still have time to correct this rather egregious oversight." a calm Morgan told his minons as he extended his arms and then brought his minons closer to him. "And this time, no foul-ups." Morgan then told his minons as he came up with a new plan to destroy Kencules.

+Above Viridian+

"Wow!" Kencules gasped in shock as he looked down at the large town below as Guilmon began to fly down.

"Is that all one town?" Kencules then asked his trainer in shock. "One town, a million troubles. The one and only Viridian. The Big Cherry Pie itself." Carter told his student as Guilmon landed in the town. "If you can make it there, you can make it anywhere." Carter then told his student as they got off of Guilmon and then began to walk across  a busy street.

"Stick with me, kid. This city is a dangerous place." Carter then warned the awed Kencules before a chariot quickly drove past them causing Carter, Kencules and Guilmon to quickly stop walking before they could get hit.

+With the chariot+

"Look where you're goin', numbskull!" the chariot's driver angerly told the group causing Carter to get mad at the chariot's driver.

+With Kencules, Carter and Guilmon+

"Hey, I'm walkin' here!" Carter angerly yelled at the driver as Kencules looked confusingly at the fleeing chariot before he looked at his trainer. "You see what I mean? I'm tellin' you--wackos." Carter then told his student as they walked down four steps and were then stopped by a strange man wearing a cloak

"Hey, Mack." the man told Kencules before he opened his cloak revealing bunch of sundials.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Carter yelled at the man as he closed his eyes. "You wanna by a sundial?" the man asked Kencules.

"He's not interested, all right? Come on, kid." Carter told the man and then told Kencules as he grabbed the demigod's hand and then dragged him passed the man and down more stairs until they were stopped by another man dressed in nothing but a small piller.

"The end is coming! Can't you feel it?" the strange man asked Guilmon as he grabbed the pegasus by his head and then hugged Guilmon's head. "Yes, yes. Thank you for the info. Yes. We'll ponder that for a while." Carter humored the strange man before he grabbed Kencules's cape.
