Chapter 20

"Will you just knock it off for a couple of seconds?" Carter told Kencules as he escaped the demigod's grip just before Kencules tried to spare with him.

"Hey, rule #38. Come on, Carter. Keep them up there, huh?" Kencules happily asked Carter as he tried to get the satyr to spare with him. "Carter, I got two words for ya: duck!" Kencules happily told Carter as he tried to hit the satyr causing him to dodge.

"Listen to me! She's--" Carter tried to tell Kencules who interupted him.

"A dream come true?" Kencules happily asked Carter as he tried to get Carter to spare with him once more.

"Not exactly." Carter told Kencules.

"More beautiful than Minako?" Kencules then happily asked Carter.

"Aside from that!" Carter yelled at Kencules.

"The most wonderful--" Kencules then began to happily tell Carter who interupted him as he grabbed Kencule's wrists.

"She's a fraud!" Carter then yelled at the demigod causing Kencules to look at him worringly.

"She's been playin' ya for a sap!" Carter then yelled at Kencules causing the demigod to stand up and look down at Carter.

"Aw, come on. Stop kiddin' around." Kencules nervously told Carter. "I'm not kiddin' around." Carter told Kencules as he climbed ontop of the pommel horse.

"I know you're upset about today but that's no reason to--" Kencules told Carter as he tried to defend Lita before Carter interupted him. "Bone-head, you're missin' the point." Carter angerly told Kencules causing the demigod to get mad.

"The point is, I love her." Kencules angerly told Carter. "She don't love you." Carter argued with Kencules. "You're crazy." Kencules told the satyr as he turned away from him.

"She's nothin' but a two-timin', " Carter began to tell Kencules before he interupted him.

"Stop it!" Kencules angerly yelled at Carter.

"No-good, lyin', schemin'--" Carter continued to tell the demigod before Kencules interupted him for the last time.

"Shut up!" Kencules angerly yelled at Carter as he smacked the satyr off of the pommel horse causing a shocked Carter to fly into the air and land in the weights as the demigod realized what he had done.

"Carter. I--Oh, I'm, I'm sorry." Kencules sadly told the satyr as Carter began to stand up. "Okay, okay, that's it. You won't face the truth? Fine." Carter sadly told Kencules as he began to walk to the stadium's exit.

"Carter, wait. Where you going?" Kencules yelled at the satyr as he got closer to the exit.

"I'm hoppin' the first barge out of here. I'm goin' home." Carter sadly told the demigod.

"Fine! G--Go! I don't--I don't need you." Kencules sadly told Carter as he turned around and then picked up a large weight.

"I thought you were gonna be the all-time champ, not the all-time chump." Carter sighed sadly before he left the stadium as Kencules continued his workout until the stadium grew dark as the fire in the high tortches went out just before a strange voice filled the air.

"Geeze Louise! What got his goat, huh?" Morgan asked Kencules causing the demigod to look up and see his uncle laying across the high uneven bar.

Morgan then grabbed the bar, swung off of the uneven bar and then landed next to Kencules.

"Baboom. Name is Morgan, Lord of the Dead. Hi. How ya doin'?" Morgan explained to his nephrew and then held out his hand for the demigod to shake. "Not now, okay?" Kencules sadly asked his uncle knowing that he didn't feel like dealing with his uncle like he had did when he was younger.

"Hey, hey. I only need a few seconds and I'm a fast talker, all right?" Morgan told his nephew as he lept onto the two bars that were on either side of the demigod after Kencules tried to walk away from him.

"See, I've got this major deal in the works. A real estate venture, if you will." Morgan began to tell the demigod as he tried to get close to him causing Kencules to back away from his uncle. "And Ken, you little demon you. May I call you Ken?" Morgan then asked his nephew before he pinched his cheek. "You seem to be constantly getting in the way of it." Morgan told his nephew as he let go of him.

"You've got the wrong guy." Kencules told his uncle as he ducked and then walked under his uncle causing a furious Morgan to disappear and then reappear in front of him.

"Hear me out, ya little--Heh-heh. Just hear me out, okay?" Morgan began to angerly and then calmly told Kencules. "So I would be eternally grateful if you would just...take a day off from this hero business of yours. Geez, I mean, monsters, natural disasters. Phew. You wait a day, okay?" Morgan then asked his nephew as he placed his arm around Kencules's neck and then began to lead Kencules away from the bleachers.

"You're out of your mind." Kencules told his uncle as he took his uncle's arm off of himself and then began to walk away from him until his uncle stopped him.

"Not so fast, because, ya see, I do havve a little leverage...you might wanna know about." Morgan told his nephew as he grabbed him and then snapped his fingers causing Lita to appear nearby.

"Lita!" Kencules gasped in pure shock causing Lita to look at him worringly.

"Don't listen, Ken--" Lita began to tell Kencules before Morgan trapped her in a thick fog rope before he made her disappear just as Kencules ran over to her causing him to turn around and glare at his uncle.

"Let her go!" Kencules angerly told his uncle before he ran over to him and tried to tackle him but ended up falling right through him.

"Here's the trade-off. You give up your strength for about 24 hours, okay? Say the next 24 hours. And Lita here is free as a bird and safe from harm." Morgan happily told his nephew as he snapped his fingers causing a tied up Lita to appear in the bleechers.

"We dance, we kiss, we schmooze, we carry on, we go home happy. What d'ya say? Come on." Morgan then told his nephew knowing that Kencules would do anything to save Lita.

"People are, are gonna get hurt, aren't they?" Kencules worringly asked his uncle after he got up. "Nah! I mean, it's a possibility. It happens 'cause, you know, it's war. But what can I tell ya? Anyway, what do you owe these people?" Morgan told and then asked his nephew as he walked over to the demigod who looked at him worringly just as Morgan disappeared and reappeared next to Lita causing Kencules to glare at him.

"Isn't Lita--little smoochy face--isn't she more important than they are?" Morgan asked his nephew as he patted Lita's face.
