Chapter 76
Ghost fighting and a new challange

As Jack and Beetlejuice went after Bittern, Crystal Sailor Sun growled as the Joker dodged her attack causing her to glare at him knowing that she didn't have a thermos to trap him in. "All I need is the Dark Red Gem and the Dark Orange Gem, then my master will be able to end Batsy and his allies." Joker gleefully told Crystal Sailor Sun who glared at him as Harley Quinn screamed in fight as she finally noticed how much danger she was in.

"I won't let you hurt any of my friends. Solar Crystal Disc Attack!" Crystal Sailor Sun growled at the Joker before she attacked him once more causing him to laugh as he flew away from it just as a strange beam of energy  flew through the air and attack the Joker from behind causing him to growl as he turned around to see who attacked him causing Crystal Sailor Sun to smile as she reconized her old friend. "Ember, am I happy to see you." Crystal Sailor Sun happily told her old friend as she flew over to the rockstar ghost.

"Hey 'Tune, what happened?" Ember asked Crystal Sailor Sun who sighed as she quickly caught Ember up on what was going on causing her to get mad. "HE DID WHAT!" Ember furiously yelled as her hair began to grow and turn as red as fire as she turned to face the Joker.

"HOW DARE YOU!" Ember growled as she struck a cord on her guitar causing a giant fist made out of ecto energy to fly out of her guitar and strike the Joker causing him to go flying through the air and then hit one of the pub's walls causing Ember to smirk as she took out a thermos and then pointed it at the Joker just as Crystal Sailor Sun flew over to the former crowned prince of crime and snatched the Dark Yellow Crystal that he had put the front pocket of his suit.

"Like I said, you have something of mine and now I finally have it back." Crystal Sailor Sun told the Joker as she held the Dark Yellow Gem in her hands and then carefully placed it into her chest causing her to gasp as she began to glow brighter and brighter causing everyone to sheild their eyes as the light began to dimmer and dimmer until it finally disappeared revealing Kayla who looked just as she did before the Joker crashed the Wayne-Stark Gala.

"Kayla!" Thomas and Marcus yelled happily as they ran over to their daughter who grinned as her parents hugged her causing Kayla to hug them back while Ember sucked Joker, Bittern and their army into the thermos which was soon filled to the brim with the evil ghosts.

+Medical Room, Bat Cave, Wayne Manor+

C.P. sighed sadly as he sat by his beloved's bedside as Alex sat on her other side while Sunny layed on her lap. "Kayla will wake up soon, you'll see." Alex tried to reassure C.P. and Sunny just as Kayla's body began to flicker and then disappear into thin air causing Alex to scream in fright as C.P. and Sunny couldn't believe their eyes just as C.P. 's communactor rang causing him to open it and then sigh in relief as Sunny tried to calm the now sobbing Alex down.

"Kayla?" C.P. asked in shock causing Alex to run over to C.P. with Sunny in his arms. "Hey guys! What's wrong?" Kayla worringly asked the boys causing them to smile. "Nothing, now that you're okay." C.P. happily told Kayla who smiled.

The next morning as the sun shined brightly over head, Peter looked worringly at his brother as Alfred drove the limo they were riding in, into a condemned neighborhood that looked like it had seen better days.

"Bruce, what are we doing here?" Peter asked his brother who sighed sadly. "This is Crime Alley, where our parents were murdered." Bruce explained as Alfred stopped the limo causing Bruce to walk out of the car with four roses causing Peter to follow his brother straight to a street by a rundown theator. "Bruce, how did they die?" Peter asked his brother causing Bruce to sigh as he placed the flowers on the ground by the theator. "We were just coming out of the theator after watching the Mask of Zorro. We were having a good time until a thug came out of the shadows and pointed his gun at us. Dad tried to stop him from stealing from us but it didn't work and Mom and Dad lost their lives that day." Bruce explained as he layed down two roses and then handed the last two to his brother who did the same.

"Ever since that day, I vowed to make sure that no child would ever lose their parents as we lost ours but there are some people I couldn't save including Dick's parents." Bruce sadly explained causing Peter to look sadly at his brother.

Meanwhile in Happy Harbor, Rhode Island, Superman led the team, the Teen Titans, Kayla and C.P. through the Zeta-Tubes and straight to the Mission Room where Bluejay, Martian Manhunter, The Flash, Aquaman, Brainy, Match who looked just like Superboy, Green Arrow, Red Tornado, and Black Canary were waiting for them along with someone who looked exactly like Speedy. "Team, meet Match and Red Arrow. We rescued them from CADMUS a month ago. Match is now known as Michael Dox-Stark-Rogers while Red Arrow is now known as Drake Queen. Match, Red Arrow, the Teen Titans, Crystal Sailor Sun and Crystal Sun Knight will be helping all of you with your newest mission." Brainy explained as he typed onto a holo keypad causing a screen to appear out of thin air and then began to type once more revealing multiple pictures of unknown superheroes and superheroines causing Kayla's eyes to widen in shock as she reconized one of them while C.P. gasped in shock as he reconized one of the new heroes as well.

"Let me guess, there are some new heroes and heroines in Retroville and Dimmsdale." Kayla began.

"And you want all of us to split up and then find out who they are and who's side they are on by going to Dimmsdale and Retroville." C.P finished as he and Kayla looked at Superman, Brainy, Bluejay, Flash, Martian Manhunter, Green Arrow, Black Canary, Red Tornado, Match and Red Arrow causing everyone to look at her and C.P. in shock.

"Kayla and C.P. are right about your mission but they are wrong about the location and who else will be going. These new heroes and heroines seem to be fighting in a new town known as Retrodale which seems to have just appeared a few weeks ago while Retroville and Dimmsdale has somehow disappeared. Wonder Woman and Hawkwoman will be going with all of you. Kayla, C.P., you two reconized two of the heroes, didn't you?" Superman told the group and then asked Kayla and C.P. causing them to chuckle. "Mmm, maybe." Kayla smirked knowing exactly who one of the new heroes were and knowing how much trouble he and his friends were going to be in as soon as she found them.

+Retrodale, Night+

As the moon shined over head, a young man ran as fast as he could through the allyways and down the deserted streets terrifyed of what was following him.

The thug's heart beat faster and faster until a wizzing sound filled the air as a net flew through the sky and encased him just as a teenage man in a dark pink and pink outfit with a dark pink bow and quiver jumped down from the roof above. "Now sit tight until the police come." the strange teen told the man just as low clapping filled the air as Crystal Sailor Sun walked out of the shadows while the thug turned into Miss. Martian causing the strange hero to look at them in shock. "I'm Crystal Sailor Sun of the Sailor Scouts and Sailor Knights of Japan, this is Miss. Martian of The Team of Happy Harbor and watching from the shadows is Raven of the Teen Titans in Jump City. I believe I know who you already are but I would like to know your superhero name, Timothy Tiberius Cosma." Crystal Sailor Sun told the hero who sighed. "I'm Archer." Archer confessed.

Meanwhile sirens filled the air as cop cars sped through the streets and straight to the Retrodale First National Bank where the villain known as the Baby Shredder was running out of the bank with money bags in her hands. Cackling, the Baby Shredder ran down the street as fast as she could as she got away from the police who began to follow her until as blast of energy hit her wrist from above causing her to drop the stolen money just as a teen wearing grey and dark purple landed in front of her. "You're not getting away, Baby Shredder. I'll stop you." the teen told the villain who glared at him as she popped out her claws. "Think again, twerp!" the Baby Shredder angerly told the teen as she charged at him just as the teen whipped out some handcuffs from his utilty belt and then flew toward the Baby Shredder while avoiding her claws and then punched her in the chest causing her to fall allowing him to grab her by the wrist and then throw her into a wall where she hit her head and fell unconcious allowing him to put her arms behind her back and cuff her.

After making sure the police knew where to find her, the superhero then flew through the sky and landed onto a nearby building where he was shocked to see a frowning Crystal Sun Knight waiting for him. "Having fun, James Isaac Anti-Cosma?" Crystal Sun Knight angerly asked the teen hero in front of him causing the new hero to gulp. "Actually it's Brain Teen." Brain Teen nervously told Crystal Sun Knight who didn't look amused.
