Ash as he shook his head: This scene won't play

I won't say I'm in love

Kayla: You're doing flips

Read my lips

You're in love, shoo-doo, shoo-doo

Ash: You're way off base

I won't say it

Kayla: He won't say in love

Ash as he tried to run from Kayla: Get off my case

I won't say it

Kayla as she ran over to Ash and then put a hand on his shoulder: Boy, don't be proud

It's okay, you're in love

Ash: Oh

At least out loud

I won't say I'm in

Love

Kayla: Shoo-doo, shoo-doo

shoo-doo, shoo-doo

Sha-la-la-la-la-la-la

"Ash, Lucario isn't going to leave you. He loved you then and probally still does." Kayla told Ash causing the raven haired teen to sigh sadly. "I don't know. I've already had my heart broken once. I don't want it broken again." Ash sadly told Kayla causing her to look at him worringly and then smile. "Ash, remember when you and Lucario first started dating during the Silver Millinium? Did he do anything special that showed that he loved you?" Kayla asked Ash causing him to shrug. "Special like what?" Ash asked curiously causing Kayla to smile. "Did he court you? You know, send you small handmade gifts and notes?" Kayla asked Ash who then closed his eyes and then nodded. "He did. I remember. He would send me small gifts and flowers with notes attached to them. He told me that he learned to write and read human language so that he could send the notes to me and in turn, I learned how to read and write in pokemon language." Ash told Kayla causing her to smile. "Then have him court you now. He can prove his love during the rest of the trip." Kayla told Ash causing the raven haired boy to nod. "Alright. I'll have him court me." Ash told Kayla causing her to smile.

+With C.P. and Lucario+

As the stars shined in the sky, Lucario sighed sadly as he waited for Kayla and Ash to return while C.P. listened to the sounds of the forest.

"Calm down, Lucario. They will be back." C.P. told the worried pokemon just as Kayla and Ash walked over to them causing the blond to smile as he opened his eyes. "Lucario, I'm sorry about the way I acted before. I've had my heart broken once and I don't want it to be broken again." Ash told Lucario causing the pokemon to look worringly at Ash while Kayla smiled. "It's okay, Lucario. Ash has agreed for you to court him like you did during the Silver Millinium." Kayla told Lucario causing him to smile and then nod.

Pikachu yawned tiredly as he layed in front of a small music box as it played a sleepy tune while Mew flew above him and Meowth layed against a large crystal.

"Now this is livin'." Meowth told Mew and Pikachu as he relaxed just as the music box stopped playing causing Meowth and Pikachu to look around curiously. "Mew, it's getting late. I need to return to Ash, Umbreon and Pichu." Pikachu told Mew. "Suppose you'd rather go back to your mate and friends then hang around here, wouldn't you?" Meowth asked Pikachu causing the electric mouse to nod. "Yes, Ash, Umbreon and Pichu must be worried sick about me." Pikachu told Meowth and Mew causing the pink pokemon to fly over to a small cave filled with toys, pick one up, fly over to Pikachu and then handed it to Pikachu. "Here, play with this." Mew told Pikachu causing the electric mouse to look at him curiously as Mew flew back to his toys, pick another toy up and then bring it to Pikachu.

"Look, you got Mew to play with until Ash and the others come find you." Meowth told Pikachu as Mew agreed. "Yeah, knowing Ash, he is on his way here with your mate and the others." Mew told Pikachu to nod. "Alright, but only until Ash, Umbreon and the others get here." Pikachu told Mew just as Meowth got comfortable once more. "You'se two have a good time." Meowth told Mew and Pikachu as he began to yawn causing Pikachu to sigh sadly as he looked up at the sky. "Ash. Umbreon." Pikachu sighed sadly knowing that he had never been away from his friend and his mate for so long.

+In the Jeep+

The sound of moaning filled the air as the travelers slept peacefully after wrapping themselves in some spare blankets.

"Mm." Ash moaned as he opened his eyes and then sat up just as Umbreon who was sleeping on his lap did the same. "Pikachu?" Umbreon asked softly causing C.P. who was sitting next to his brother to groan as he turned in his sleep and mumbled something causing Ash to sigh sadly as he opened one of the car doors and then quietly got out of the jeep causing Umbreon to follow him outside.

As soon as he got out of the jeep, Ash walked over to the front of the vehicle and then looked at the road ahead of the jeep causing him to sigh sadly as he saw the Tree of Beginning. "Pikachu." the raven haired teen then sighed causing Lucario who was relaxing by a large gem nearby, to look worringly at his true love.

The next morning after eating a quick breakfast, the travelers packed up their things, climbed into the jeep and then began to follow Lucario down the road once more.

But as Kidd continued to follow Lucario, Ash sighed sadly as he looked out one of the jeep's windows. "Ash, we'll be there soon. Relax, I'm sure Pikachu's fine." C.P. tried to reassure his brother but Ash refused to listen causing the blond to sigh sadly just as they got closer and closer to the Tree of Beginning until Lucario stopped causing Kidd to quickly stop her jeep and then get out of the vehicle causing the others to get out as well.

"Lucario, what's wrong?" Ash asked the psychic pokemon curiously as he wondered why Lucario stopped in front of a very large rock. 'This is the place where I was trapped in the staff.' Lucario told the group causing C.P., Ash and Kayla to look worringly at each other as Lucario remembered that faithful day so long ago when Lucario was trapped in the staff.

'Why? Why did he do it?' Lucario sadly asked the sky as he looked up and then bent down to his knees not noticing a time flower that was in front of him until it began to glow. Lucario then looked at the little flower as it began to open causing a small ball of light to float out of the flower.

"It's a Time Flower." Ash gasped in shock as the small ball of light floated above the flower and then grew bigger until it encased everyone in a strange forcefeild of light just before an image appeared behind the flower.

+The day Lucario was trapped in the staff+

King Aaron stood away from his friend as he threw the staff causing it to land in front of a blinded Lucario and then trap him in the staff's jewel. 'King Aaron!' present day Lucario mentally yelled at his former king as the others watched the scene in shock. No one could believe their eyes as they watched King Aaron abandon the staff as he climbed onto Pidgeot and then flew away causing everyone to look sadly at Lucario who was heartbroken.
