Solar Beauty and the Beast: TEC ch12

Chapter 12

As the dungeon began to come down around them, the enchanted objects tried to get to safety.

"IceDevimon!" Gotsumon gasped as he quickly left the now crumbling room as the others did the same.

+West Wing+

"Can you believe I never took a lesson?" IceDevimon gleefully asked as he enjoyed the distruction that he was causing as the dungeon began to break apart causing Kayla, Frigimon, Kouchi and Koji to be trapped on one side of a large crack in the ground while C.P. was by the door until he noticed that Kayla was in danger.

"Kayla!" C.P. yelled as the crack grew bigger and bigger. "Oh, no!" Kayla gasped in fright.

"Kayla!" C.P. yelled as Kayla, Koji, Frigimon, and Kouchi grew frightened as the castle began to come down.

Meanwhile hopping as fast as he could, Gotsumon headed straight to the West Wing where he gasped in shock at all the damage that IceDevimon was doing to the prince's rooms.

"Oh, no." Gotsumon gasped as IceDevimon continued to try and destory the castle.

"Maestro! Stop!" Gotsumon yelled as he hopped as fast as he could into IceDevimon's room.

"What do you think you're doing?" Gostumon angerly asked IceDevimon.

"Don't you see, Gotsumon? They can't fall in love if they're dead." a now crazied IceDevimon told Gotsumon causing the little piccolo to get mad.

"I'll tell you what I see. A big, old windbag!" Gotsumon angerly told the cackling IceDevimon.

"You could have joined me, Gotsumon, but I see my triumph is a solo act." IceDevimon laughed as Gotsumon began to shake along with the ground causing the little piccolo to bump into the chest that held his solo but the shaking ground caused it to open causing blank pages to fall out.

"My solo... It's blank!" Gotsumon gasped in shock as after he picked up one of the blank pages causing IceDevimon to laugh.

"So naive. You're second fiddle, Gotsumon, and that's all you'll ever be." IceDevimon told Gotsumon.

Back in the crumbling dungeons, Kayla, Frigimon, Koji and Kouchi were frightened as C.P. knew who was doing all of the damage.

"IceDevimon!" C.P. bellowed in anger knowing that the man he once considered a friend was now his enemy.

With anger C.P. broke open the cell door as Kayla and the enchanted objects watched in fright.

+West Wing+

"We can remain as we are forever and ever!" IceDevimon laughed sinisterly as the room continued to come down just as a furious C.P. entered the room.

"IceDevimon!" C.P. yelled as he slammed open the doors of the room revealing anger and hate in his blue eyes.

"Enough!" C.P. growled.

"Olypmus! Master." IceDevimon gasped as C.P. stomped into the room.

"You're not singing." IceDevimon angerly told C.P. as he played a new note causing the sickly energy to leave his pipes and attack C.P.

Meanwhile in the dungeons, Kayla used all of her strength to push a wooden beam across the large crack and then slowly began to walk across the beam.

"Careful." Kayla warned Koji, Kouchi and Frigimon as they slowly followed her across the beam.

Back in the West Wing, sickly green energy left IceDevimon's pipes just as Kayla walked over to the growling C.P. as the sickly energy flew through the air and around them just as Koji, Kouchi and Yoshi ran over to the table where the bell jar sat.

"Oh, no, the bell jar!" Koji yelled in fright knowing that if something happened to the enchanted Daffodil then the spell would never be broken.

"Whoa! Got it. Got it." Kouchi yelled as he caught the bell jar after it fell off of the table.

"Oh, careful." Yoshi warned Kouchi.

"Is this happy enough for you, master? I know I'm downright giddy." IceDevimon yelled at C.P. who didn't know what to do as he growled in anger as Kayla gasped in fright just as Gotsumon hopped over to them.

"Master, the keyboard." Gotsumon told C.P. who growled as IceDevimon continued to laugh sinisterly as C.P. stalked over to him and then picked up his keyboard causing IceDevimon to gasp as he began to turn grey as he shut down while Kouchi and Koji returned the bell jar to the table.

Growling in anger, C.P. threw the keyboard onto the ground causing it to break.

"Help!" IceDevimon gasped as he tried to pull free from the wall causing the chains that bolted him to the wall to break causing him to scream as IceDevimon fell to his death.

"IceDevimon." C.P. sighed as papers flew around and landed by him and Kayla.

Later that night the ballroom was once more looking beautiful and feastive as a smiling Yoshi glided over to Frigimon.

"Oh, yes, it is lovely." Frigimon happily told Yoshi as she stood next to Keenan, Gotsumon, Kouchi, Koji and Takuya.

"And you said it was impossible." Koji told Yoshi as everyone was glad that things had worked out all right in the end.

"Uh-uh-uh-uh. I said it was impossible without me." Yoshi happily told Koji.

"Everyone, shh-shh! Here they come." Kouchi happily told the other objects as the doors to the ballroom opened.

"The setting is perfect." Kouchi then happily told his brother and their friends as C.P. who was all dressed up once more led Kayla who was now wearing a beautiful ballgown into the dinning room.

"Oh, aren't they beautiful?" Kouichi sighed happily as Kayla gasped in shock as she walked over to the Christmas tree which was now standing in the middle of the ballroom.

"It's wonderful!" Kayla happily told C.P. as everyone cheered.

+Present Day+

"And what a wonderful Christmas it was." Frigimon happily told everyone as she finished her story.

"I suppose if anyone saved Christmas, it was Kayla." Frigimon then told the group.

"Merry Christmas, one and all!" a now human C.P. happily yelled as he and Kayla walked into the room causing the villagers to wish them as Merry Christmas in return.

"And Merry Christmas to you, sir." Kouchi happily told C.P. as everyone began to walk over to Kayla and C.P. to wish them a Merry Christmas.

"I believe we have a little something for you, Keenan." Kayla who was dressed in a beautiful yellow gown, told Keenan causing a grinning C.P. to reach into his coat and take out a gift which he then gave to Keenan.

"A present? Oh, boy! Thank you." Keenan happily told the prince and princess before he opened it and then grinned in delight as he looked at the storybook that he now held in his hands.

"Look, Mama! A storybook! Would you read it to me?" Keenan excitedly asked Frigimon who smiled.

"I'd love to, son." Frigimon happily told Keenan who excitedly ran over to a chair causing Frigimon to follow him as C.P. held out his arm for Kayla who smiled as she placed her arm on his.

"Maestro?" C.P. then asked a now human Gotsumon who was now the court musician.

"Yes, master?" Gostumon asked nervously.

"Would you do us the honor, old friend?" C.P. asked Gotsumon as he bowed.

"I'd be delighted." Gotsumon happily told the prince before he began to play his piccolo causing the other members of the royal orchestra to play a wonderful melody as C.P. led Kayla to the balcony which looked out at all of the stars outside.

As as the stars shined down upon them, C.P. took out a gift from his jacket and then handed it to Kayla causing her to smile as she opened it revealing a beautiful daffodil causing her to grin as C.P. smiled before he held Kayla close to him as they looked out at the stary night above.
