Chapter 3
"Nice work, Bone Daddy!" Chiquon told Greg after the skellington tossed a coin into a bucket that sat in front of the band.
"Yeah, I guess so. Just like last year." Greg told them as he walked over to a metal gate causing it to rise up on it's own. "And the year before that, and the year before that." Greg sadly told the band as he walked through the now opened gate and over to a large iron gate that led into a graveyard where Amy was hiding behind a tombstone and was putting more leaves into her ruined arm just as she heard the gate creak causing the rag doll to gasp in shock as she got up and saw Greg walk into the graveyard.
+Graveyard+
As he walked through the graveyard, Greg looked up at the starless sky and then tapped onto his leg as he passed by a grave maker causing a lava dog ghost to fly out of the grave maker just as Greg walked over to another grave and began to sing.
Greg: There are few who deny
at what I do I am the best
For my talents
are renowned far and wide
Greg as he walked around the grave stone: When it comes to surprises
in the moonlit night
Greg as he walked over to another grave: I excel without ever even trying
Greg as he lept onto another grave stone: With the slightest little effort
Greg as he began to leap across grave stones: of my ghostlike charms
I have seen grown men
give out a shriek
Greg the lept off of a grave stone and then landed inbetween two statues where he began to sing once more.
Greg: With a wave of my hand
and a well-placed moan
I have swept the
very bravest off their feet
Greg as he began to sing sadly as he walked away from the statues: Yet, year after year
It's the same routine
Greg as he walked through the graveyard: And I grow so weary
of the sound of screams
Greg as he growled: And I, Greg, the Pumpkin King
Greg as he began to sing sadly: Have grown so tired
of the same old thing
Greg as the ghost dog followed him up Spiral hill: Oh, somewhere deep
Inside of these bones
An emptiness
Began to grow
Greg as he walked to the top of the hill: There's something out there
Far from my home
A longing that
I've never known
Greg as he began to sing excitedly: I'm the master of fright
and a demon of light
And I'll scare your
right out of your pants
The sounds of moaning ghosts began to fill the air as Greg continued to sing.
Greg not knowing that Amy was watching him: To a guy, on Jupiter
I'm Mr. Unlucky
And I'm known
throughout Mars and Domino
And since I am dead
Greg as he took off his head: I can take off my head
Greg as he held his head with one hand: To recite Shakespearean quotations
Greg as he put his head back on: No animal or man
can scream like I can
With the fury of my recitations
Greg as he began to sing sadly: But who here
Would ever understand
That the Pumpkin King
with the skeleton grin
Would tire of his crown?
If they only understood
He'd give it all up
If he only could
Greg as he began to walk down the hill: Oh, there's an empty place
In my bones
That calls out for
Something unknown
Greg as he began to walk through the pumpkin patch: The fame and praise
Come year after year
Greg as he walked into a forest with the ghost dog right behind him: Does nothing for
These empty tears

"Greg, I know how you feel." Amy sighed sadly as she came out from behind a grave stone.

I see Greg's feeling empty over the whole Halloween routine.
I'd feel the same way, if I were him.
